Evidence Code

The law of evidence concerns the rules and standards by which regulates the admission of information which may be considered by the trier of fact (judge or jury) at a hearing or trial of a person accused of a crime such as domestic violence. Many of the rules are counterintuitive. The rules of evidence are intended to ensure only reliable information is presented to a trier of fact.
